Chris O’Donnell To Star In “9-1-1: Nashville”
Following the success of “9-1-1” and its spin-off series “9-1-1: Lonestar,” 20th Television is developing a new spin-off series for ABC called “9-1-1: Nashville.”
The new series has already been given a straight-to-series order, and it will be created by franchise’s co-creators Ryan Murphy & Tim Minear, along with Rashad Raisani, who was the showrunner of “9-1-1: Lone Star”, which was recently cancelled after five seasons after FOX decided not to renew the show.
The upcoming series will also be executive produced by Brad Falchuk, who is a co-creator of the first two “9-1-1” series and “9-1-1” star Angela Bassett.
It’s been revealed that Chris O’Donnell has joined the cast of the show and will be playing the role of ‘Captain Don Sharpe,’ who is a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son. Don’s a devoted husband and family man, but he has his secrets.
Chris O’Donnell has recently starred in “NCIS: Los Angeles”, which has run for 14 seasons. He has also previously starred in “Batman Forever” and “Batman & Robin”, along with “Scent of a Woman” and “Fried Green Tomatoes”.
“9-1-1: Nashville” is currently scheduled to arrive during the 2025/26 season on ABC, along with Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. I’d expect this show to also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
