America Dad & Family Guy Won’t Be Coming To Disney+
Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, is set to include many movies and TV shows from the vast 20th Century Fox library, with shows like “The Simpsons”, “Avatar” and “The Sound of Music.”
Recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger took part in a Question and Answer session to promote this new autobiography “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company”.
During the Q&A session, he was asked by an audience member whether Family Guy and American Dad might appear on upcoming streaming service Disney+ along with The Simpsons.
He repied with a simple answer, “No,”
This news shouldn’t be a surprise, since Disney+ is set to be a family friendly streaming service. With no movie rated above a PG13 on the service and while it does include some shows like Agents Of Shield and The Runaways, which do have a TV14 rating, which Family Guy and American Day are also rated at.
But the tone of the shows are probably the biggest issue for the animated shows being included. Plus they will want to keep the more “adult oriented” content for their other streaming service Hulu.
