Disney is looking to take advantage of its smash hit animated series, “Family Guy”, with two new holiday specials that will be coming exclusively to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.

The hit animated series is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and at this week’s PaleyFestLA event, the team behind the show revealed on the stage by revealing that these specials will come later this year.

“Family Guy” features the adventures of the Griffin family. Endearingly ignorant Peter and his stay-at-home wife Lois reside in Quahog, R.I., and have three kids. Meg, the eldest child, is a social outcast, and teenage Chris is awkward and clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. The youngest, Stewie, is a genius baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. The talking dog, Brian, keeps Stewie in check while sipping martinis and sorting through his own life issues.

The latest season of “Family Guy” recently wrapped up on FOX, and new episodes were released the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.   While the show is still contracted to premiere on the FOX linear channel in the United States, it looks like Disney is going to use a similar loophole to how Paramount+ was able to get “South Park” specials since these two holiday specials won’t be considered a traditional episode.

“Family Guy” is regularly one of the most watched shows on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, and on Disney+ internationally.

No other details on these “Family Guy” specials have been announced, but they will be themed on Halloween and Christmas. Hopefully, we will soon find out more about these specials.

“Family Guy” is a 20th Television Animation production. Seth MacFarlane is the creator and executive producer, in addition to providing the voice of Stewie, Brian and Peter.  This series also stars Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis and Arif Zahir. Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin serve as executive producers and showrunners, while Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith, Kara Vallow, Mark Hentemann, Tom Devanney, Patrick Meighan and Alex Carter are executive producers.
