Recently a new Beauty and the Beast prequel live action series featuring Gaston and LeFou, was revealed to be coming to Disney+.

In a recent interview with Young Artists of America, Alan Menken confirmed that he is working on new songs for show.

Alan Menken is behind some of the most popular Disney classic movies such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Tangled and the original animated movie, Beauty and the Beast.

The series will consist of 6 episodes and will see both Josh Gad and Luke Evans, return to as LeFou and Gaston.   It’s being created by Eddy Kitsis & Adam Horowitz, who previously created Once Upon a Time and Lost.   The show will tell the origin story of Gaston and LeFou.
