“Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” Coming Soon To Disney+ & Disney Jr
Disney has announced at a special “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!” fan celebration at Disney California Adventure Park that, following the success of “Spidey And His Amazing Friends” and the upcoming “Iron Man And His Awesome Friends”, a brand new third season in the popular Marvel franchise is heading to our screens soon.
“Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” will debut on Disney Jr and Disney+ in 2027 and will introduce kid versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes: Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America (Steve Rogers), Hulk (Bruce Banner), Black Panther (T’Challa), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Thor. Together, the young Avengers strive to be their best selves while facing off against classic Super Baddies.
“Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” is being produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons. The show’s executive producers include Sean Coyle, Bart Jennett and Harrison Wilcox.
Roger’s Take: Making a preschool version of the “Avengers” makes total sense, especially as it will mean the “Iron Man” and “Spidey” shows will have a couple more years to run until this next instalment lands on Disney+. Getting new audiences introduced to Marvel at a young age is great for Disney, as it makes those early connections with the brand for years to come, but more importantly, it’s a great show for kids and families to watch. It’s interesting that they’ve swapped out Hawkeye for Black Panther in the new lineup and also returning to the Steve Rogers version of Captain America, instead of Sam Wilson.
