One of the many projects Marvel has been working on is a new animated series called “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, which was originally announced back on Disney+ Day in 2021, though it was called “Spider-Man: Freshman Year”.

The series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike any we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

In a recent interview with Screenrant, it was revealed that Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg are composing the music for the animated series. The duo have previously worked on “Cobra Kai”.

We are beyond stoked to be a part of this standout entry in the MCU. Jeff Trammell, Mel Zwyer, and the rest of the team at Marvel could not have been better collaborators, and we are beyond grateful to them for letting us go absolutely wild on this score.

This new series has been written and executive produced by Jeff Trammel, who has previously worked on “Craig Of The Creek”.  The animation on the series is being created by Japanese digital animation studio, Polygon Pictures, who have previously worked on Apple’s “Stillwater”, along with “Ajin”, “Godzilla: Kaijū Wakusei”, “Mech Cadets”, and “Transformers: War for Cybertron”.

The new series will see Hudson Thames providing the voice of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, along with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who will be reprising their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin.

Back at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, it was revealed that Disney had already picked up the series for a second season. The series was originally going to be called “Spider-Man: Sophomore Year,” though I suspect that name has also been changed.

UPDATE:  Originally, the interview stated that the series will be released on Disney+ on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. However, it’s important to note that Marvel hasn’t officially announced this date, and this is likely to be incorrect since that’s a Saturday,
