Each month, I update my list of the best 100 series that are currently available on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which include series from across the Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, Pixar and Star franchises.
With over 800 different series available on Disney+ now, this list is here to give you a selection of different content available, mixing together Disney+ and Star Originals, classic series, new shows, documentaries and much more.

100) Fosse/Verdon

He was a filmmaker and one of theater’s most influential choreographers and directors; she was the greatest Broadway dancer of all time. Together, they changed the face of American entertainment — at a perilous cost.
99) American Born Chinese
Based on Gene Luen Yang’s groundbreaking graphic novel that chronicles the trials and tribulations of a regular American teenager whose life is forever changed when he befriends the son of a mythological god. This is the story of a young man’s battle for his own identity, told through family, comedy, and action-packed Kung-Fu. If you enjoyed “Everything, Everywhere All At Once” or fancy a superhero series with a difference, check out this show.
98) Brothers & Sisters
This drama series follows the Walkers, an affluent but down-to-earth family, learn to deal with the death of their patriarch, a failing business and the discovery of a half-brother.
97) Killing Eve
A security consultant hunts for a ruthless assassin. Equally obsessed with each other, they go head to head in an epic game of cat-and-mouse. This British series has picked up many awards and while it’s a bit strange, its fantastic!
96) Glee
In this musical comedy, optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school’s glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential as they strive to outshine their singing competition while navigating the cruel halls of McKinley High.
95) Reservation Dogs
This comedy follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.
94) Secret Invasion
In Marvel Studios’ new series “Secret Invasion,” set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart the imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity. If you enjoyed the more down to earth style of the MCU, give this show a whirl.
93) The Fosters
Stef Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets Callie, a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef welcome Callie and her brother, Jude, into their home thinking it’s just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found. But life has something else in store for the Fosters.
92) The Muppet Show
This classic show from the 80s is a fantastic medley of sweet and mischievous, Jim Henson’s Muppets, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, produce a weekly variety show with a range of famous guests. Along for the ride are Gonzo, Fozzie the bear and Scooter — who is the closest thing to a human puppet this series has. If you enjoyed this series, there are a few more Muppets series on Disney+ including the Disney+ Original “Muppets Now” and “Muppets Mayhem”.
91) The Orville
Follows the crew of the not-so-functional exploratory ship in the Earth’s interstellar fleet, 400 years in the future. If you love Star Trek, this might be the closest thing to recapture that feeling, but with a modern twist. While you might expect this to be a spoof, it’s often more Star Trek than most of the recent series. The third season is available exclusively on Disney+.
90) War Of The Worlds
When astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, it is definitive proof of intelligent extra-terrestrial life. The world’s population waits for further contact with bated breath. They do not have to wait long. Within days, mankind is all but wiped out by a devastating attack; pockets of humanity are left in an eerily deserted world. As aliens hunt and kill those left alive, the survivors ask a burning question – who are these attackers and why are they hell-bent on our destruction?
89) The Golden Girls
Every episode of this classic 1980s sitcom is available now on Disney+ and is the story of four single middle-aged women. Bea Arthur plays Dorothy, a school teacher. Rue McClanahan plays Blanche, a man-hunter. Betty White plays Rose, a very sweet woman. Estelle Getty plays Dorothy’s outspoken mother, Sophia. This is a great nostalgia trip for those who want a trip back to the 80s.
88) Full Monty
The original band of brothers as they navigate Sheffield and its crumbling healthcare, education and employment sectors, exploring the brighter, sillier and more humane way forward where communal effort can still triumph over adversity. If you enjoyed the original film, this is a must watch. It’s a great comedy series, that deals with many of the issues in the UK right now and I’d highly recommend checking it out.
87) Welcome To Earth
This Disney+ original series from National Geographic, follows two-time Academy Award® nominee Will Smith on an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime adventure around the world to explore Earth’s greatest wonders and reveal its most hidden secrets. Throughout the six-part limited series produced by visionary Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, Protozoa Pictures, Jane Root’s Nutopia and Westbrook Studios, Will is guided by elite explorers on an awe-inspiring journey, getting up close and personal with some of the most thrilling spectacles on the planet — from volcanoes that roar in silence to deserts that move beyond our perception to animal swarms with minds of their own. Combining breathtaking cinematography with Will’s boundless curiosity and enthusiasm, the blockbuster series is an exciting, multisensory ride through Earth’s most mind-bending portals.
86) Reasonable Doubt
You’ll judge Jax Stewart for her questionable ethics and wild interpretations of the law…until you’re the one in trouble. Then you’ll see her for what she is: the most brilliant and fearless defense attorney in Los Angeles who bucks the justice system at every chance she gets. This is a very interesting series, which is also the first drama series from Disney’s Onyx Collective.
85) NCIS
From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, a team of special agents investigates any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position.
84) Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs follows the life of a family of dinosaurs, living in a modern world. They have TV’s, fridges, microwaves, and every modern convenience.
83) Black-ish
A man tries to get his family to mingle with the neighbours and form a rapport with them in an effort to fit in and find his place in society. You’ll also find the spin-off series “Grown-ish” and “Mixed-ish” exclusively on Disney+.
82) Abbot Elementary
Follows a group of teachers brought together in one of the worst public schools in the country, simply because they love teaching. This is one of the best new comedies out now and it has picked up numerous awards, so if your in the mood for a new comedy series, check this one out.
81) Firefly
This cult sci-fi classic is set 500 years in the future after a universal civil war, the crew of a small transport spaceship takes any job so long as it puts food on the table. The disparate men and women just want to survive and maybe have better lives, but they face constant challenges on the new frontier, such as the Reavers — flesh-eating mongrels who live on the fringes of the universe.
80) The Catch
Alice, a private investigator, is determined to track down her fiance who has disappeared after conning her of all her money, even as her team work round the clock to solve different cases. Another great ABC series that I can easily recommend.
79) Star Wars Rebels
Set between the events of Star Wars: Episodes III and IV, when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. The motley crew of the starship Ghost make a stand against the Empire. And together, they will face threatening new villains, encounter colourful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures, and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion. If you are a fan of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this is a must-watch and also helps fill in those gaps between the two trilogies.
78) The Resident
It centers on an idealistic young doctor who begins his first day under the supervision of a tough, brilliant senior resident who pulls the curtain back on all of the good and evil in modern day medicine. Lives may be saved or lost, but expectations will always be shattered.
77) The Americans
Set during the Cold War period in the 1980s, The Americans is the story of Elizabeth and Philip Jennings, two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and their neighbor, Stan Beeman, an FBI Counterintelligence agent.
76) Malcolm In The Middle
Malcolm, a 9-year-old kid who enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with best friend Stevie, has his life turned upside down when he is forced into the “gifted” class and finds himself surrounded by a group of talented outcasts. Since Malcolm’s favorite and oldest brother was sent away to military school, Malcolm must also cope with brothers Reese and Dewey. The boys’ parents Lois and Hal, struggle to keep it all together.
75) The Owl House
“The Owl House” is an animated fantasy-comedy series that follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda’s apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.
74) Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Into every generation a slayer is born: one girl in all the world, a chosen one. She alone will wield the strength and skill to fight the vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness; to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their number. She is the Slayer. This is one of the original vampire series that I used to enjoy every day after college!
73) Jessica Jones
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
72) 9-11
Explore the high-pressure experiences of police officers, paramedics and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. It can be a little cheesy at times, but it’s a great show to just chill out on the couch and has been on our regular watch list since it originally launched. The sixth season is exclusive to Disney+, along with the spin-off series “Lonestar”.
71) What We Do in the Shadows
A documentary-style look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of a group of vampires in Staten Island who have “lived” together for hundreds and hundreds of years. This is a quirky little comedy that is worth checking out.
70) Legion
With David and Oliver missing and Farouk on the loose, the team forms an unlikely alliance with their former enemy Clark and his well-funded government is on a new path to attaining infinite and world-ending power. This is one Marvel series that feels extremely different to anything else.
69) Ms Marvel
Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero megafan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with superpowers, right? This Marvel series is so charming and well worth your time.
68) Under The Banner Of Heaven
“Under the Banner of Heaven” is an original limited series inspired by the true crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, which follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb of the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion – Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Jeb Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith. This show will certainly showcase the issues of faith in the United States and was one of my favourite originals from 2022.
68) Once Upon A Time
Emma Swan’s past disasters drag her into the small town of Maine. She is the long-lost daughter of a king, who must protect her town from the curse of an evil queen. There is also the spin-off series, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland is also now available on Disney+.
67) It’s A Sin
At the age of 18, Ritchie, Colin and Roscoe leave their homes to begin a new life in London. However, before they realise it, they find themselves struck by a virus, ignored by most of the world. This is one of the best British series in years.
66) The Old Man
“The Old Man” centers on Dan Chase who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid since. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he must reconcile his past. The FBI’s Assistant Director for Counterintelligence is called to hunt Chase down because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. “The Old Man” is one of the best original shows on Disney+.
65) Burn Notice
US spy Michael Weston suddenly finds himself ‘burned’-discredited without any form of procedure. Since no one will really help him, he survives by doing impossible jobs for desperate people in Miami.
64) Wedding Season
Hopeless romantic Stefan meets the charismatic Katie, and despite her engagement to the son of a wealthy property magnate, a whirlwind affair begins over a summer of weddings. Before long, they’re on the run from the law, with Katie the prime suspect in a shocking crime. Can they fend off police, organised criminals and their complicated feelings for one another as they try to clear their names? This is the first exclusive British Disney+ Original series and is a great mix of adventure and comedy.
63) The Kardashians
The members of the Kardashian-Jenner family give a look into their lavish lifestyles while they deal with the problems in their relationships and businesses together. I’ve not idea why I do enjoy watching this reality series, but its completely got its hooks into me and my wife, it’s a instant watch whenever a new episode drops and there is a reason why its one of the most popular shows on Disney+ around the world.
62) Justified
This FX series is based on the 2001 Elmore Leonard short story “Fire in the Hole.” Leonard’s tale centers around U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens of Kentucky, a quiet but strong-willed official of the law. The tale covers his high-stakes job, as well as his strained relationships with his ex-wife and father. A new spin-off series is heading to Disney+ later this year and I’m currently binging my way through the show and I’m really enjoying it.
61) This Is Us
Kevin, Kate and Randall, three siblings, go through unique personal struggles at different intervals of life as they try to find happiness and get over a tragedy in their past. All five seasons are available on Disney+, with new episodes from the sixth season being released weekly.
60) Hostile Planet
This six-part documentary draws attention to the most extraordinary — almost supernatural — accounts of animals that have adapted to the cruellest evolutionary curveballs. Easily one of my favourite series available on Disney+ right now, if you’re only going to watch on an animal documentary, make it this one.
59) Hannah Montana
One of the biggest Disney Channel shows of all time and a perfect way to see Miley Cyrus growing up. The show tells the story of Miley Stewart, a typical teenager, but when the lights go down and the curtain goes up, she emerges as the glamorous and talented Hannah Montana. Having the “Best of Both Worlds” is a complicated proposition, and keeping her identity under wraps leads Miley and her friends into some hilarious capers as she tries to balance her normal life with her rock star persona.
58) Marvel’s Agent Carter
This series is set back in 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Captain America Steve Rogers. If you missed this series when it came out, this is a good way to fill out why Captain America made his decision in Avengers: Endgame.
57) The Strain
A high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself. I don’t usually enjoy horror series, but this one was recommended by a friend and we ended up binging all four seasons!
56) Welcome To Wrexham
Documentary series tracking the dreams and worries of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, UK, as two Hollywood stars (Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds) take ownership of the town’s historic yet struggling football club. I don’t even like football, but I really enjoyed this series.
55) Snowfall
During the budding drug epidemic in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, a crime family decides to make money selling cocaine. Meanwhile, a CIA operative also gets involved.
54) Marvel: Agents Of Shield
This Marvel series follows, Agent Phil Coulson, who leads a team of highly skilled agents from the global law-enforcement organisation known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together, they combat extraordinary and inexplicable threats. It’s a fantastic series and ran for 7 seasons.
53) Revenge
When Emily Thorne moves to the Hamptons, everyone wonders about the new girl, but she knows everything about them, including what they did to her family. Years ago, they took everything from her. Now, one by one, she’s going to make them pay. It’s one of my favourite ABC series and well worth checking out.
52) Daredevil
Lawyer-by-day Matt Murdock uses his heightened senses from being blinded as a young boy to fight crime at night on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen as Daredevil.
51) Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney+’s “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic and narrated by the award-winning, fan-favourite Josh Gad, gives viewers a backstage pass to explore the magic of nature within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT. Each of the eight episodes dives into the details, unveiling the multifaceted aspects of animal care, conservation and Disney Imagineering and showcases the parks’ magnificent array of more than 300 species and 5,000-plus animals and the herculean tasks their animal care experts undertake to keep things running day and night. If you love the Animal Kingdom theme park, this is a must-watch!
50) The Beatles: Get Back
The docuseries showcases The Beatles’ creative process as they attempt to write 14 new songs in preparation for their first live concert in over two years. Faced with a nearly impossible deadline, the strong bonds of friendship shared by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are put to the test. The docuseries is compiled from nearly 60 hours of unseen footage shot over 21 days, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969, and from more than 150 hours of unheard audio, most of which has been locked in a vault for over half a century. Jackson is the only person in 50 years to have been given access to this Beatles treasure trove, all of which has now been brilliantly restored. What emerges is an unbelievably intimate portrait of The Beatles, showing how, with their backs against the wall, they could still rely on their friendship, good humor, and creative genius. While plans derail and relationships are put to the test, some of the world’s most iconic songs are composed and performed. The docuseries features – for the first time in its entirety – The Beatles’ last live performance as a group, the unforgettable rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row, as well as other songs and classic compositions featured on the band’s final two albums, “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be.” If you love “The Beatles” this is a must watch.
49) Lie To Me
Through applied psychology, Dr. Cal Lightman and his colleagues accept assignments from local and federal law enforcement agencies, and assist in investigations to reach out to the truth. This is a great series that really highlights the skills of Tim Roth.
48) High School Musical: The Musical – The Series
This drama series has become my non-so secret guilty pleasure on Disney+. A group of East High students countdown to the opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.” Showmances blossom; friendships are tested while new ones are made; rivalries flare and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only a high school drama club can provide. This is one series not to skip.
47) The Bear
FX’s new comedy series The Bear is about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of Sense of Urgency and the steep slippery downsides. As the young chef Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family. Easily one of the best shows from 2022 and a brand new season hits Disney+ this summer.
46) Love, Victor
“Love, Victor” is set in the world of the groundbreaking movie, “Love, Simon,” which was inspired by Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed young adult novel, “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda,” about a closeted gay teenager who is forced to come out after being blackmailed. The series stars Michael Cimino as Victor, who, like Simon, is on his own journey of self-discovery. Facing challenges at home, navigating the ups and downs of a new high school and exploring his sexual orientation, Victor reaches out to Simon when things become too difficult. All three seasons of this show are available on Disney+ now.
45) Extraordinary
In a world where everyone develops a power on their 18th birthday, Jen didn’t. She’s turning 25 and is still waiting to get hers. Adrift in a big, confusing world and armed with nothing but a bit of hope and a lot of desperation, Jen begins her journey to find her maybe-superpower. But in doing so, she might discover the joy of being just kind of ok. One of the funniest series I’ve seen in a while, its a mix up between “Derry Girls” and “The Boys”. I ended up binging the entire season in one sitting and a second season is on the way!
44) Castle
When a psychopath commits murders based on novelist Castle’s books, Detective Beckett seeks his help to solve the case. He decides to work with her and uses his experiences as research for his novels.
43) Gravity Falls
This series is all about twin brother and sister Dipper and Mabel Pines, who end up on an unexpected adventure when they spend the summer helping their great uncle Stan run a tourist trap in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. This is one of the best modern Disney Channel animated series, that is great for adults and children alike.
42) Gordon Ramsey – Uncharted
Globetrotting celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay serves up an epic adventure in “Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted.” He travels around the world meeting with indigenous people to learn about their foods and cultures. In each location, he harvests new ingredients and samples new dishes. He also teams up with local legends to cook feasts to present to the native peoples.
41) Jessie
This Disney Channel live-action series brings an idealistic teen from rural Texas embarks on the adventure of a lifetime when she decides to leave behind starry nights for big city lights. Thrilled to be on her own and determined not to be intimidated by New York City, she accepts a job as nanny for a high-profile couple with four kids. Helping to keep her moral compass in check are Bertram, the family’s butler, and Tony, the building’s 20-year-old doorman.
40) A Small Light
Twentysomething Miep Gies didn’t hesitate when her boss Otto Frank came to her and asked her to hide his family from the Nazis during World War II. For the next two years, Miep, her husband Jan, and the other helpers watched over the eight souls in hiding in the Secret Annex. And it was Miep who found Anne’s Diary and kept it safe so Otto, the only one of the eight who survived, could later share it with the world as one of the most powerful accounts of the Holocaust. This hard hitting drama series is one of the best shows of 2023 and I’d highly recommend you watch it.
39) Sons Of Anarchy
An adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC’s familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegal arms business driven by the seduction of money, power, and blood.
38) Big Sky
Storyteller David E. Kelly (“Big Little Lies”) presents a series about private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt, who join forces with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken. Based on the series of books by C.J. Box, the series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury and Ryan Phillippe. This is one my favourite launch “Star Originals” and certainly a highlight of the new content that Star brings to Disney+.
37) Moon Knight
When Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life, he discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt. This series is a must-watch for any Marvel fan.
36) Solar Opposites
A family of aliens from a much better world must take refuge in middle America after the destruction of their planet. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth. Easily one of the funniest shows available on Disney+ and can only be found on Disney+ as it’s a “Star Original”.
35) Bluey
Bluey follows the adventures of a lovable and inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her dad, mum and four-year-old little sister, Bingo. In every episode, Bluey uses her limitless Blue Heeler energy to play elaborate games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways. This animated series is one of the most popular shows on the planet right now and a huge hit among parents!
34) Only Murders In The Building
From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders In The Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late. This is a strange series, that mixes comedy with drama, in a way you might not expect. Certainly a highlight on Star On Disney+.
33) Alias
Sydney Bristow, an agent who has been tricked to believe she is working for the U.S. government, is actually working for a criminal organization named the Alliance of Twelve. Upon learning this, Sydney becomes a double agent for the real CIA.
32) Station 19
This Grey’s Anatomy spin-off series tells the stories of Seattle’s fire Station 19, with the main focus being on Andy Herrera, who is a confident firefighter and is also the daughter of Pruitt Herrera, the formidable head of the firehouse. Capt. Pruitt was Andy’s primary inspiration to become a firefighter and is a mentor to both her and Jack Gibson, the lieutenant at the station. Jack is as fearless as Andy is by-the-books, but when the two are together, sparks fly and opposites attract. The latest season of Station 19 is now exclusive to Disney+.
If you enjoy Grey’s Anatomy, this is a must-watch and often has stories intertwined with the popular hospital drama series.
31) Bones
Dr. Temperance Brennan and her colleagues at the Jeffersonian’s Medico-Legal Lab assist Special Agent Seeley Booth with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless.
30) Atlanta
Two cousins, with different views on art versus commerce, on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene; Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks, an ambitious college dropout and his estranged cousin, who suddenly becomes a star.
29) Desperate Housewives
Looking down on her friends and family isn’t a way of life for Mary Alice Young… it’s a way of death. One day, in her perfect house, in the loveliest of suburbs, Mary Alice ended it all. Now she’s taking us into the lives of her family, friends and neighbors, commenting from her elevated P.O.V.
28) Ugly Betty
Betty Suarez is smart, tough and tenacious, but also sensitive and loving. She hopes these skills will help her to get a job within the Meade Publishing Corporation. The fact that she isn’t traditionally attractive initially keeps her from getting hired by fashion bible, Mode. The magazine, however, is in flux, with power-hungry executives vying for dominance. Hoping to control the situation, the publisher gives his inexperienced son, Daniel, the position of Editor-in-Chief. He hires Betty as Daniel’s assistant after catching him in a compromising position with his secretary on his first day on the job. After a tough start, in which Daniel tries to force Betty into quitting by treating her terribly, he realizes her worth and the two pair up to be an effective team.
27) Pam & Tommy
Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, “Pam & Tommy” is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) sex tape. Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen), the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown cultural obsession when it hit the Web in 1997. A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two. This is one of the best original series available on Disney+, but certainly isn’t for younger viewers!
26) Modern Family
Three modern-day families from California try to deal with their kids, quirky spouses and jobs in their own unique ways, often falling into hilarious situations. One of the best comedy series available now on Disney+.
25) The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, the series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.
24) Dopesick
“Dopesick” examines how one company triggered the worst drug epidemic in American history. The series takes viewers to the epicenter of America’s struggle with opioid addiction, from the boardrooms of Big Pharma, to a distressed Virginia mining community, to the hallways of the DEA. Defying all the odds, heroes will emerge in an intense and thrilling ride to take down the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies. The limited series is inspired by the New York Times bestselling book by Beth Macy and is only available on Disney+ in the UK.
23) Genius
Genius is a show that explores the turbulent journey of some great geniuses. Season one tells the story of the great scientist, Albert Einstein. While the second season tells the life story of the artist Picasso. The third season tells the life story of singer Aretha Franklin and is exclusive to Disney+.
22) Prison Break
Due to a political conspiracy, an innocent man is sent to death row and his only hope is his brother, who makes it his mission to deliberately get himself sent to the same prison in order to break the both of them out, from the inside out. A fantastic drama series for Disney+.
21) Scrubs
Intern John Dorian starts his medical career in a hospital crammed with unpredictable staffers and patients. His experiences teach him about the profession, friendship and life. A great comedy series that is very binge worthy.
20) New Girl
Jess, a middle-school teacher, moves into an apartment with three men after she finds her boyfriend with another woman and breaks up with him. This is currently one of the most popular comedy series.
19) American Dad
Smith’s family consists of four members which include a freaky goldfish that has the mind of a German football player and an alien. Smith, along with the CIA, tries to save America from every threat. If you enjoy “Family Guy, this one is worth investigating.
18) Bob’s Burgers
Bob Belcher is a third-generation restaurateur who runs Bob’s Burgers with his loving wife and their three children. Bob believes his burgers speak for themselves and isn’t afraid to offer a variety of off-beat creations. Bob’s wife, Linda, supports his dream but is becoming sick of the slow times, as the restaurant is constantly in danger of going out of business. The main competition to Bob’s Burgers is a busy pasta joint located across the street that is run by Bob’s nemesis, Jimmy Pesto. Despite the challenges, which includes consistent harassment from Linda’s ex – a health inspector – Bob tries to keep the grill sizzling.
17) Futurama
The adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who, after being unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years, finds employment at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company in the retro-futuristic 31st century. If you love “The Simpsons”, you should love this series too!
16) Lost
The survivors of a plane crash find themselves stranded on a mysterious island. They are forced to work together for their survival when they realise that they are not alone on the island. Lost is one of the biggest series ever created and one of the most controversial series made by ABC.
15) Star Wars: The Clone Wars
This series fills in the story between “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge Of The Sith”, where Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and other Jedi Knights lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the droid army of the Separatists. The 7th season of the show is a Disney+ exclusive plus there are over a hundred episodes available, making this one of the most binge-worthy shows on Disney+.
14) How I Met Your Mother
A father recounts to his children – through a series of flashbacks – the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother. This is one of the biggest comedy series available on Disney+, it’s legend……wait for it……ary…. If you like this one, check out the spin-off series, “How I Met Your Father”.
13) 24
Counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer fights the bad guys of the world, a day at a time. With each week’s episode unfolding in real time, “24” covers a single day in the life of Bauer each season. Jack deals with assassination attempts, nuclear attacks, bioterrorism, torture, traitors, sleeper cells, other bad guys and the alarming tendency for his romances to end badly — very badly.
12) The Walking Dead
In the wake of a zombie apocalypse, various survivors struggle to stay alive. As they search for safety and evade the undead, they are forced to grapple with rival groups and difficult choices. It’s a brutal but fantastic series that shows us what people are really capable of, when everything around them is gone. All 11 seasons are available on Disney+ .
11) Scandal
Everyone has secrets and Olivia Pope has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the elite by keeping those secrets under wraps. Pope and her team are at the top of their game when it comes to getting the job done for their clients, but it becomes apparent that these “gladiators in suits,” who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, have trouble fixing those closest at hand — their own. Another fantastic series that’s worth checking out on Disney+.
10) Criminal Minds
An elite team of FBI profilers analyze the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. The Behavioral Analysis Unit’s most experienced agent is David Rossi, a founding member of the BAU who returns to help the team solve new cases. The spin-off series, “Criminal Minds: Evolution” is also exclusive to Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.
9) The Dropout
The story of Elizabeth Holmes, the enigmatic Stanford dropout who founded medical testing start-up Theranos. Lauded as a Steve Jobs for the next tech generation and once worth billions of dollars, the myth crumbled when it was revealed that none of the tech actually worked, putting thousands of people’s health in grave danger.
8) WandaVision
Marvel Studios “WandaVision,” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. This series is, without doubt, one of the best series available on Disney+, its completely crazy and each episode ends on a cliffhanger, making you instantly want to watch the next episode. The entire series is available now exclusively on Disney+.
7) The Imagineering Story
Easily my favourite documentary series I’ve watched on Disney+. This 6 part documentary series explores the past, present and future of Walt Disney Imagineering with noted filmmaker Leslie Iwerks. Ms. Iwerks comes from a family with deep Disney history — her grandfather was an early Disney animator and her father is a former Imagineer — and her previous work includes profiles of Pixar Animation Studios and visual effects house Industrial Light & Magic.
6) Grey’s Anatomy
Surgical interns and their supervisors embark on a medical journey where they become part of heart-wrenching stories and make life-changing decisions in order to become the finest doctors. Grey’s Anatomy is one of the most popular series currently available on any streaming service. This is one of my favourite series and now from Season 19, the show is exclusive to Disney+.
5) Family Guy
This adult animated series follows Peter Griffin and his family of two teenagers, a smart dog, a devilish baby and his wife find themselves in some of the most hilarious scenarios. This has quickly become the most popular series available right now on Disney+ in the UK. There are also a number of seasons of the spin-off series “The Cleveland Show” available on Disney+.
4) The Simpsons
This classic animated sitcom is one of the most popular series on Disney+. It’s set in Springfield, the average American town, the show focuses on the antics and everyday adventures of the Simpson family; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, as well as a virtual cast of thousands. Since the beginning, the series has been a pop culture icon, attracting hundreds of celebrities to guest star. The show has also made name for itself in its fearless satirical take on politics, media and American life in general. There are over 30 seasons of this show, with almost 700 episodes.
3) Star Wars: Andor
The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. If you enjoyed “Rogue One” and prefer your Star Wars being a little more grown up, this is the show for you.
2) Marvel’s Loki
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and sees Loki team up with the Time Variance Authority to deal with rogue variants disrupting the sacred timeline. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. If you only watch one Marvel series on Disney+, this is it!.
1) Star Wars: The Mandalorian
This is, without doubt, one of the biggest draws for most people subscribing to Disney+ right now. The show is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. All three seasons are available for fans to enjoy, plus “The Book Of Boba Fett”, which is basically season 2.5 of “The Mandalorian”.
