Stanley Tucci Heads To London To Promote Second Season Of “Tucci In Italy”

Just ahead of the release of the second season of the hit “Tucci In Italy” on Disney+ around the world, Stanley Tucci made an appearance at a special screening at London’s Soho Hotel on Friday evening.

Following an Emmy-nominated first series, Stanley Tucci returns to his beloved Italy to visit five new regions, including one he’s never featured before, Le Marche, with many culinary delights that have escaped the attention of international tourists. In Campania, and its famed capital of Naples, he celebrates a once-forgotten vine grape, and in Veneto, he deliciously wades into the controversy over the origins of tiramisu. Stanley also visits two very different Islands: Sardinia, where he explores the relationship between food and longevity, and Sicily, where a multicultural history has left a delicious mark on its cuisine.

The event was attended by Stanley Tucci alongside SALT Productions executive producer Lottie Birmingham, and BBC Studios executive producer Amanda Lyon, co-executive producer Ben Jessop, and production manager Mandy Weller. Additional guests in attendance included actor Sophie McShera, presenters Ali Plumb and Josh Smith, alongside content creators Alfie Steiner, Thomas Duke, Francesco Mattana, Verna Gao and Sam Holland.

The screening opened with an introduction from SVP, Disney Advertising EMEA & Country Manager UK & Ireland, Deborah Armstrong. Guests were then treated to the first episode of the series, in which Stanley heads to Naples & Campania, where he discovers how adversity has shaped this famed region and its capital.

An on-stage Q&A with Stanley Tucci followed, moderated by broadcaster Edith Bowman. The insightful conversation covered Stanley’s personal connection with Italy and how this informed the creation of the series.

Stanley Tucci believes that the best way to understand what makes a country unique is through its food. Nowhere is this truer than in Italy, where even the shape of the pasta and the sauce served with it can speak directly to identity and sharply differentiate each region.

The first season of “Tucci In Italy” is available to stream now on Disney+, and the new season will debut on Disney+ on 12th May 2026, with the first episode also airing on National Geographic at 8 pm in the UK that same evening.
