“The Devil Wears Prada” Debuts On The Nielsen Streaming Charts

Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from April 20th 2026, to April 26th 2026. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

Generally, it was a very quiet week for streaming viewership during April, with viewership numbers considerably down across the board on all streaming services.

Disney+ also had a boost in viewership ahead of the release of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in cinemas, with the first film getting a bump in views, pushing the film into the top ten films chart. Ironically, I also watched “The Devil Wears Prada” for the first time that week on Disney+, so it’s easy to see why Disney+ gets these bumps ahead of any new release of any new franchise instalments.

“Zootopia 2” also continues to be a huge success on Disney, making the movie chart for another week, highlighting how Disney’s theatrical focus is actually boosting the interest in films for longer once they hit streaming.

Disney continues to hold a large share of the acquired charts, with its biggest hits, including “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Family Guy”, and “Bob’s Burgers”, still drawing viewers on Hulu and Disney+. Disney was also able to take advantage of some popular licensed content, such as “Criminal Minds”. “Bluey” continues to dominate the streaming chart, once again topping both the acquired and overall charts.
