Steven Yeun Joins Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” Cast
One of the many films currently in development by Marvel Studios is “Thunderbolts”, which will bring together a ragtag group of villains and anit-heroes that have been introduced in other Marvel films and Disney+ shows.
At last year’s Disney’s D23 event, it was revealed that the “Thunderbolts” team will include David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S.Agent, with Florence Pugh reprising her role as Yelena Belova. Also starring in the film will be Ayo Edebiri.
Deadline is reporting that Steven Yeun has joined the cast in a part that is apparently not only significant to this film but could also play a role going forward in future films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Steven Yeun has previously starred in “The Walking Dead” and “Nope”.
No plot details have been announced for the film, but as the fifth phase of the MCU slowly builds out through its films and shows, hopefully, it won’t be too long until more details are revealed.
Jake Schreier is going to be directing the film, with Eric Pearson, who previously wrote, “Black Widow”, is writing the script, with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige producing.
“Thunderbolts” is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 26th, 2024.
