First Contestants Revealed For “Dancing With The Stars” Season 35
Later this year, one of Disney’s most popular and long-running competition series, “Dancing With The Stars”, will be returning for a 35th season.
Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, the hit series pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed, choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.
At this week’s “Get Real” event, Disney confirmed the first two celebrity guests who will be joining this year’s cast, with Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller being the first reveals.
Maura Higgins, rose to fame as a contestant on the fifth series of the UK reality show “Love Island” in 2019. She has also appeared on “Dancing on Ice” and “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”. She hosted the “Love Island USA: Aftersun” show, along with getting to the final of the fourth season of the US version of “The Traitors”.
While Ciara Miller also starred in “The Traitors”, along with the hit series, “Summer House”. She also appeared in the spin-off series, “Winter House”, and established a successful modelling career in New York City.
The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions. Conrad Green serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ryan O’Dowd serves as an executive producer, and Deena Katz serves as co-executive producer.
Season 35 will return on ABC, Hulu and Disney+ in the United States later this Fall, though no exact release date has been announced yet. Expect more reveals over the summer ahead of the new season premiering.
