Disney+ Original “Alice And Steve” Premieres At CANNESERIES
Disney has headed to France to promote the upcoming British comedy series, “Alice and Steve”. Many of the stars of the six-part comedy series have headed to the CANNESERIES competition for the show’s premiere.
Stars of the Disney+ series, Nicola Walker (“The Split”, “Unforgotten”), Jemaine Clement (“What We Do in the Shadows”, “Flight of The Conchords”), Yali Topol Margalith (“The Tattooist of Auschwitz”, “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”) and Joel Fry (“Cruella”, “Our Flag Means Death”) were joined by writer-creator Sophie Goodhart (“Sex Education”), director Tom Kingsley (“Stath Lets Flats”), executive producer Andy Baker for Clerkenwell Films (“Baby Reindeer”) and series producer Frances du Pille at a screening of the first two episodes, which received a standing ovation from the audience.
Here are some photos from the premiere:
The series follows Alice (Walker), who is devastated when her best friend Steve (Clement) starts dating her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy (Topol Margalith). She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud.
A hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, family, and love, “Alice and Steve” is an anti-romantic comedy that asks the question, how far would you go for love – or revenge? Will Alice forgive Steve? Will Steve and Izzy make a relationship work? Amongst all the questions hanging in the balance, one thing is certain; their lives will never be the same again.
All six episodes of “Alice and Steve” will be available to stream on Monday, 8th June 2026, exclusively on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and on Hulu/Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.
