Disney’s most popular drama series, “Grey’s Anatomy” is expanding its cast with Sophia Bush joining in a major recurring role.

Recipient of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Television Series and nominated for multiple Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, “Grey’s Anatomy” is considered one of the great television shows of our time. The high-intensity medical drama, now in its 21st season, follows a team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial who are faced with life-or death decisions on a daily basis. They seek comfort from one another, and, at times, more than just friendship. Together, they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

Sophia Bush has previously starred in “One Tree Hill” and “Chicago P.D”.  The actress also took to social media to confirm the news by showing herself in some scrubs.

She will play the role of Dr. Cass Beckman, an amiable, fun and a little messy around-the edges trauma surgeon at Seattle Presbyterian whose husband, David Beckman, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Grey Sloan.

Sophia’s character will be debuting in episode 2106, which will premiere on ABC on November 7th 2024, with episodes arriving the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.

Previous seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
