Disney has announced that the first season of the Korean crime mystery thriller series, “Shadow Detective”, will be coming to Disney+ around the world, including in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, on Wednesday, 26th October 2022.   Which is the same day the show is released on Disney+ in Korea.

The series follows the story of an accomplished detective who finds himself falsely accused of murder and is blackmailed into re-investigating his former cases by the real murderer.

“Shadow Detective” stars Lee Seongmin (Juvenile Justice, Missing) as the soon-to-be-retired detective Kim Taekrok, Jin Gu (Descendants of the Sun, The Witch: Part 2) as Kook Jinhan, Gyeong Sujin (Mouse, Train) as Lee Seonga, and Lee Hakju (The World of the Married, My Name) as Son Gyeongchan, Shadow Detective is directed by Han Donghwa (Navillera, Squad 38) and produced by Studio Dragon.

While no release has yet been confirmed for the UK and across Europe, it’s likely to also be released at some point, similar to many other Korean Disney+ Originals like “Snowdrop”, “Rookie Cops”, and “Grid”.
