As the Campbells and the Dunns reopen the Tremont, teenage Savannah travels to the present to warn Griffin and Harper that Sam has gone to 2024 to find medicine to save his mother in the 1930s in the season 2 finale of “Secrets of Sulphur Springs.” Meanwhile, elderly Savannah arrives at the Tremont to warn Griffin to “don’t go forward.” But, Griffin goes to rescue Sam and the crystal completely breaks stranding Griffin in 2024 and teenage Savannah in the present.

This season ends on an excellent cliffhanger that makes me wonder if they knew they would be getting a third season before they filmed it. The official announcement for a third season didn’t come until this season started airing on Disney Channel and the entire season had been released on Disney+. But if they thought they wouldn’t get a third season, I find it hard to believe they would’ve ended the season like this. They might not have officially known, but they clearly believed they would be back.

Now I want to know what evil entity is inhabiting room 205 at the Tremont. As Griffin approaches the Tremont in 2024, it’s burning down and Griffin thinks his family is there. But Sam steps in and stops him and lets him know the Tremont has been abandoned and they think the only way to get rid of whatever evil is inside is to burn it down. We saw this evil entity enter the room in the penultimate episode of the season. It was invisible but it clearly caused the water issues that developed in the final episode.

I’m very curious to see where this series will head in season 3. Griffin is trapped in the future with Sam. Teenage Savannah has jumped from the 1990s to the 1960s to the 2020s and is now stranded in the present. But a 60 years older Savannah warned Griffin not to go, which clearly means that Savannah somehow gets back to the 1960s. But how does she do it? Plus Bennett has now discovered the fallout shelter adding him to the list of people who know with Griffin, Harper, Daisy, Savannah, and Topher.
