One of the most popular ABC comedy series, “Scrubs”, could be making a comeback as recently, the team behind Scrubs have expressed an interest in returning to the comedy series.

The series is an engaging (and periodically serious) look at hospital work through the eyes of a young intern, coping with unusual challenges presented by colleagues as well as patients. It ran for nine seasons from 2001 and 2010.

This past weekend, Hulu put on a reunion panel tale place at the ATX TV Festival, which included the shows creator and showrunner Bill Lawrence (“Ted Lasso”) along with the show’s cast Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes and Neil Flynn.

During the panel, hosted by Variety, there was some talk about a potential revival of “Scrubs”, which the cast all agreed they wanted to do. However the show’s creator, Bill Lawrence, is too busy. Donald Faison, said:

“I think we all want it. We all would love to work together again. It’s just that it’s really hard. It can’t be a full season of a show — it would have to be a movie or something like that, where you could only give a couple of months to it. Everyone is doing things. This dude’s never going to be free again.”

Bill Lawrence also replied:

“We’re gonna do it because we’re lucky enough that people care. Top to bottom, we enjoy spending time with each other. If you ever have an excuse to work with people that you’d want to spend time with anyways, run to it… It’s worth it to me to see Neil back in that jumpsuit again.”

No revival has yet been officially confirmed, but while a full traditional series might be out of the question due to the availability of the creator and cast, hopefully, we might see a one-off special, limited series or film.

You can watch previous seasons of “Scrubs” on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
