Later this year Marvel Studios is set to begin filming on “The Fantastic Four”, which is going to be released in cinemas on July 25th 2025 and likely to arrive on Disney+ by the end of the next year.

On Valentine’s Day, Disney announced that the upcoming movie is going to star Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing).

Also set to star in the film is Julia Garner, who will be playing the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an alternative version of Silver Surfer.

Deadline has also revealed that Paul Walter Hauser has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. Paul Walter Hauser has previously starred in the Netflix series, “Cobra Kai” and “Cruella”. He will also soon be starring in the upcoming “Naked Gun” reboot and the upcoming Pixar film, “Inside Out 2”.

No plot details have been announced for the film, thought its expected that the movie will involve the multiverse, to help set up the upcoming “Avengers: Secret Wars” movies and help explain the difference from the previous versions of these characters that have appeared in other movies.

“WandaVision’s” Matt Shakman will be directing the upcoming film, which has been written by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, Peter Cameron and Ian Springer.
