Charles, Oliver and Mabel discover they were partially right and partially wrong about who killed Ben Glenroy in the season finale of the Disney+ and Hulu Original Series, “Only Murders in the Building.” The trio have honed in on the show’s producer, Donna, as the killer. Their investigation revealed that she was responsible for the poisoning that initially sent Ben to the hospital but didn’t result in his death. This leads Mabel to discover who else was responsible for Ben’s death.

The killer reveal made this season better than I was expecting. I really had a hard time believing that Donna was the killer just because the first two killers were both women, so I didn’t think they would have a third female killer. The reveal that while Donna had poisoned Ben, but only wanted him to get sick and delay the show opening, and her son, Cliff who was producing his first show. It’s also revealed he attacked Ben to protect his mother just like she poisoned Ben and admitted to the killing to protect Cliff. She told Loretta a mother will do anything for her child, but Cliff’s actions prove a child will do anything for his mother.

The teaser tag at the end of the episode was a nice twist to set up a season four but a risky venture if Disney had decided to cancel the series. It’s an interesting set up to where the murder happens in Charles’ apartment, and it’s clear that he was the intended target. Of course, it was his stunt double who had gone to his apartment to get wine who was murdered. I’m glad there will be a season four, and I’m interested to see how Charles handles the murder with him being the intended target and the victim being so close to him.

This has been one of the best original shows that has found its way on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally. While this season wasn’t as good as the first two, it was still very strong. This would’ve been the best season for a lot of other series on television. I’m a little wary of what will happen in a season four, but I’m willing to give it a shot.
