This was originally reported back in February and Disney were apparently looking for a writer for the series. Very little has been reported since that initial report.

Disney has attempted to bring back the Muppets on many occasions since they took control of the Muppets Studio in 2004, they’ve released two movies, a more adult orientated show and a new animated Muppet Babies show for Disney Junior.

Bringing the Muppets to Disney+ would be a good move, it would provide the service with a “exclusive” original show, plus a huge back-catalogue of shows and movies.
