The Marvel series “Helstrom” has been cancelled at Hulu after one season, this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise as this was the last show created by the former head of Marvel television Jeph Loeb, who left last year when Marvel TV shows were moved under Marvel Studios.  So all new Marvel shows are set to arrive on Disney+.

As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, Helstrom follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.

It’s also worth noting that the show never promoted as “Marvel” show, Disney was trying to distance it from the “Marvel” brand.

“Helstrom” was part of Marvel TV, which also made “Daredevil”, “Luke Cage”, “Iron Fist”, “Jessica Jones”, “Defenders”, “The Punisher”, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”, “Legion”, “Cloak & Dagger”, “The Gifted”, and “Runaways”.   All of these shows have now been cancelled, though there are still a couple more animated shows to come from the Marvel TV studio including “MODOK” and “Hit-Monkey” which are due to arrive at a later date on Hulu and Star.

“Helstrom” will be coming to Disney+ internationally in 2021 as part of Disney’s new general entertainment brand, called “Star”.

What do you think of “Helstrom” being cancelled?
