The Grammys To Simulcast Across ABC, Hulu & Disney+
During Disney’s Upfront presentation in New York City, it was announced that the 2027 Grammy Awards will be simulcast live across ABC, Disney+ and Hulu from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, 7th February 2027.
The upcoming ceremony marks a historic shift for the organisation as the 2027 Grammy Awards will be the first ceremony to air on ABC since 1972, ushering in a new era for the most celebrated night in music.
The Grammy organisation is powered by 30,000 members, working songwriters, performers, producers, engineers and music professionals, and we serve music people by spearheading public policy efforts to protect their rights, opening pathways of opportunity for them while dismantling old barriers, providing direct assistance, recognising musical excellence, and upholding a peer-based Awards process that endures as music’s highest honour. Our service positively impacts music creators everywhere, and results in a growing, thriving and fairer music industry.
Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Grammys, said in a statement regarding the show:
“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that. This is an exciting time for us as an organization—a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started and the best is yet to come.”
Details on this year’s Grammy eligibility period were also revealed, which goes from August 31st, 2025, through to August 28th, 2026, and nominations will be announced ahead of the Telecast on Monday, 16th November 2026.
Roger’s Take: Sharing major events across ABC and Disney+ makes sense to reach as big an audience as possible, though it’s unclear if this will be an international release across Disney+.
