Is “Sonic The Hedgehog 3” Coming To Disney+?
This Christmas, the third “Sonic The Hedgehog” film is heading to cinemas around the world and it sees Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.
Director Jeff Fowler returns along with our all-star cast, including Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, newcomers Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter, with Keanu Reeves joining the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.
Unfortunately, for Disney+ subscribers, “Sonic The Hedgehog 3” won’t be coming to Disney+ due to the movie being created and distributed by Paramount Studios.
This means that once the film has finished its theatrical release window, it will be heading to Paramount+.
While Paramount Pictures movies aren’t made available internationally on Disney+, in the United States, Paramount has some licensing agreements with Disney to bring some of its older titles to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
This is why both “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” have previously been available on Disney+ via Hulu On Disney+. However, due to licensing agreements, these movies are currently only available on Hulu.
This means that technically, “Sonic 3” could be coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ at some point in the future, but it might not be for years.
