Ever since Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, one of the projects quickly put into development was a third “Deadpool” film.

It was expected that the third film was going to be getting an update at the recent D23 Expo. However, that didn’t happen.

But today, Ryan Reynolds released a brand new video explaining why he was very sorry that he and the rest of the cast and crew of Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool 3” had to miss the recent D23 Expo. But, fear not, because they’ve been working very hard on Deadpool 3!

However, Reynolds also explained that he is also fresh out of ideas for the movie, and he truly wants this third outing with the merc with a mouth — and Wade Wilson’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — to be something special. Something fans will remember forever. Something to really make Deadpool stand out among the rest.

The big news from this video is that Huge Jackman makes a cameo, where Ryan asks him if he would play Wolverine one last time? Which Hugh Jackman said, “Yeah, sure, Ryan.”

The film’s director, Shawn Levy, also weighed in the announcement about this dynamic duo teaming up, joking that the news has been “burning a hole” in his lips for weeks now.

It was also confirmed that “Deadpool 3” will arrive in cinemas on September 6th, 2024.

The first two “Deadpool” films, along with many of the “X-Men” films starring Hugh Jackman, are available to stream now on Disney+.
