Last month, Disney started to release the brand new 20th Television comedy series, “How I Met Your Father” series on Hulu in the United States and announced that the series would be arriving on Disney+ around the world in March.
However, the global release has been quickly derailed, as the series was delayed in some countries until May, while some countries including Australia, Canada and New Zealand started getting new episodes being released weekly from this week.
Disney has now confirmed on social media that in the UK and some of Europe, the entire series will be released at once on Wednesday 11th May 2022, while in Ireland, it will now have a stretched out release schedule with two episodes dropping, followed by a weekly release. This is the first time the UK and Ireland have a different release schedule for a new Disney+ series. It is rather odd that Ireland is getting a stretched out release schedule, meaning the finale is going to be released months after it airs in the US.
This new series is set in the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2022 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
