“Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars” Renewed For A Second Season
FOX has announced that it has renewed “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars” for a second season, which will see the show return with a twist, as the show is going to be going global, recruiting a new group of food and beverage industry professionals and putting them through a multitude of challenges designed to showcase their skills, as he searches for the next great culinary entrepreneur.
Gordan Ramsay said in a statement regarding the renewal:
“I’m super happy that Food Stars is returning on FOX for Season Two. America is full of incredible food and drink entrepreneurs and I can’t wait to see the talent and ingenuity that we discover.”
Allison Wallach, President, Unscripted Programming, FOX Entertainment added:
“Simply put, Gordon Ramsay has the golden touch in connecting with viewers and contestants across his impressive slate of shows. Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars was one of television’s strongest unscripted series last year, and we’re happy, and honored, to bring it back – with this season featuring a tantalizing twist — as our special partnership with Gordon continues to thrive.”
Ramsay’s series makes up the biggest competitive unscripted franchise on network television, reaching 5.6 billion Total Viewers and counting on FOX. Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars’ first season averaged 3.3 million multiplatform viewers and was last Summer’s #1 new show among Adults 18-49.
Studio Ramsay Global produces Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, and Ramsay serves as an executive producer on his shows. Deborah Sargeant also serves as showrunner and executive producer on the series.
Due to a licensing deal with FOX, the first season of “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars” is available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. And we should see the second season also available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ the day after the show premieres on the FOX linear channel.
