FX Developing “That Texas Blood” Series
Disney’s FX is developing a brand new drama series called “That Texas Blood”, which is based on the popular Image comic book series of the same name by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips.
“That Texas Blood” is described as a neo-noir Western following Sheriff Joe Bob Coates of Ambrose County, Texas, who questions his place in an increasingly violent world when a man returns home following the sudden disappearance of his brother, causing a spiral down into a past filled with treachery and blood.

According to Deadline, 20th Television is going to be the studio behind the show. The new adaptation is being created by Jim Mickle and E.L. Katz, who will write and executive produce the project. Jim will also be directing the show. They previously worked together on “Hap and Leonard”. Jim has also worked on “Sweet Tooth”, “Mulberry Street”, “Stake Land”, “We Are What We Are” and “Cold in July”. While E.L Matz has worked on “Swamp Thing” and “Teacup”.
Other executive producers working on the show include Michael Waldron and Adam Fasullo via Anomaly Pictures, along with Adam Fishbach, Jeremy Platt, Linda Moran, and Chris Condon. Jacob Phillips is serving as co-executive producer.
Not much else is known about the upcoming project, such as who will star in it, nor when it will likely be release. As with other FX shows, I’d expect it to be released on the FX linear channel along with a global release on Disney+ under the Hulu banner.
As with other shows currently in development, things could still change and it might not necessarily make it to our screens, but hopefully it won’t be too long until we get a new series from FX.
