FX Developing New Comedy Pilot “Belated”
Disney’s FX has ordered a new comedy pilot called “Belated”, which is being created by “Rescue Me” co-creator Peter Tolan. He will be writing, directing and executive producing the series.
This new pilot will follow an unexpected intergenerational friendship between Owen, a recently out man in his 40s, and Clay, a 17-year-old trans teen, as Owen and his ex-wife and children attempt to find their new normal.
Peter Tolan has worked on many series throughout his career including “Home Improvement”, “Murphy Brown”, “The Larry Sanders Show” plus movies such as “Analyze This”. He has previously worked with FX for seven seasons of “Rescue Me”
Nick Alford is also an executive producer on this series.
FX productions are the studio behind the series, so should the pilot be given the go-ahead to become a series, we should expect to see to see it on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
