Ryan Murphy Productions has released a teaser video announcing a brand drama series called “Grotesquerie” for Disney’s FX Network.

The upcoming drama series is going to star Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville.   Nicey has previously starred in ABC’s “The Rookie: Feds” and FX’s “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”.   Courtney B. Vance has previously starred in National Geographic’s “Genius: Aretha” and HBO’s “Lovecraft Country“.  Lesley Manville has previously starred in “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” and Netflix’s “The Crown”.

Production on “Grotesquerie” is due to begin soon and will premiere on FX in the fall.  So expect to see this series also released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.

The teaser announcement video doesn’t give too much away, but it includes some audio of Nash-Betts character, saying

 “I don’t know when it started. I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s different now. There’s been a shift. It’s like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole to the center of nothingness. What I saw today — they sent shrinks for everyone who worked this crime scene. You think, ‘Well hon, evil has always existed,’ and cite some statistic about how the world’s getting better, less murder, more help, less global horror, never been a better time to be alive, honey.”

Ryan Murphy has worked on many FX series, including “American Horror Story” and “Feud”; he is also working on many other shows as part of his overall deal with 20th Television.
