During the D23 Expo, Disney has been doing a presentation on the Disney+ Pavilion stage, showing off the new streaming app.

One of the interesting things shown off during the presentation was the “Kids” profiles, which is slightly different to a usual user profile.  The children’s accounts have a slightly different display, with rounded edges on the icons and made it more colorful.

Instead of being presented with the brand options at the top, they get different categories,  Mickey Mouse & Friends, Princesses, Superheroes, Disney Junior, Action + Adventure and Animals + Nature.

Up to 7 profiles can be created per subscription, with 4 simultaneous streams, which can be played on 10 different devices with unlimited downloads to a device depending on hard drive space.

Each user can pick an avatar from a wide range of hundreds of Disney characters, including Darth Vader, Iron Man and Moana.    With some of these characters only available on the children’s profile type.

What do you think of the children’s profiles?
