Ryan Murphy has been behind many of the biggest hits for 20th Television and FX, including “Glee”, “Doctor Odyssey”, “Feud” and “9-1-1”, with his “American Story” anthology franchise, which includes Horror, Sports and Crime.

One of his next projects is “American Love Story”, which tells the love story of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, who are widely regarded as American royalty, but their love story began to fray under the stress of the relentless microscope and navel-gaze of tabloid media. The pressures of their careers and rumoured family discord ended with their tragic deaths when his private plane crashed into the ocean on a hazy summer night off the coast of Massachusetts.

Ryan Murphy took to social media this week to reveal some new casting details on the upcoming “American Story” franchise, where it was confirmed that Paul Kelly will be playing the role of John F. Kennedy Jr, and Sarah Pidgeon will be playing Carolyn Bessette.

It was also revealed that Alessandro Nivola will play the role of Calvin Klein, Leila George will portray Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon will play Lauren Bessette, and Noah Fearnley will play Michael Bergin.

Some camera test images were also revealed, giving us a first look at Paul Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon.

Ryan also announced that the series will premiere during Valentine’s Day week in 2026 on FX, Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. We should also expect to see the show released internationally on Disney+.
