Disney has announced that the Searchlight Pictures animated family film “Fantastic Mr. Fox” will return to Disney+ in the United States on Friday, May 3rd, 2024.

The film tells the story of Mr & Mrs. Fox, who live a happy home life with their eccentric son Ash and visiting nephew Kristopherson. That is until Mr. Fox slips into his sneaky, old ways and plots the greatest chicken heist the animal world has ever seen. Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr. Fox is family fun at its finest.

This movie stars George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, and Owen Wilson.   Wes Anderson directed “Fantastic Mr. Fox”.

The film had previously been available on Disney+ in the United States but was removed early last year due to a pre-existing licensing contract made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox.   However, the title has remained available on Disney+ internationally.
