Disney+ has lost another executive to Condé Nast, as Variety has reported that Jennifer Jones has joined the company as the head of global business affairs and operations.

Her role at Disney+ was the Vice President of business affairs, where she was the lead negotiator for the Disney+ local original programming slate in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North Asia and Canada.   Jennifer was also responsible for setting up the Disney+ initial content business parameters for scripted originals, unscripted originals, licenses, co-productions and talent deals.

Preceding her time at Disney, Jones was a senior legal executive for Marvel Entertainment. Her law career began at the distinguished firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson, where she focused on entertainment contract disputes. Jones received her law degree from Yale Law School. She is based in Los Angeles.

Last year, Agnes Chu left her role as the senior VP of content for Disney+ (you can also see her take part in an episode of the Marvel 616 series) and became the head of the media and publishing in Condé Nast’s entertainment division.   Agnes Chu said the following in her announcement of hiring Jennifer.

“Jenn brings entrepreneurial depth and a global fluency in strategic business affairs”.
