Disney+ launched in the US, Canada and the Netherlands yesterday, bringing the new streaming service to breaking point as thousands of users couldn’t log on to watch the latest Disney+ Original movies and shows like Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

And there was a reason for the issues, Disney has announced that:

Disney+, the highly anticipated streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has already reached a major milestone, achieving a remarkable 10 million sign-ups since launching.

10 Million subscribers signing up on the first day is extremely impressive and will no doubt keep growing, especially once they start launching internationally.

Disney also confirmed said that Moving forward, there are no plans to release Disney+ subscriber data outside of The Walt Disney Company’s quarterly earnings calls.
