It’s time for another Disney+ battle. This time, two classics from Disney’s Golden Age of Animation are squaring off. Let’s compare and contrast “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Bambi.”

1. PROTAGONIST

The main characters of both of these films are in the titles. Snow White is the protagonist of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” while Bambi is the protagonist of “Bambi.” Both are weak protagonists where the events of the films mostly happen to them rather than be affected by them. But Bambi does take action to protect Feline from the dogs and the fire. He actually does something making him the slightly better protagonist. Point to “Bambi.”

2. ANTAGONIST

The villain of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is the Evil Queen. She wants to be the “fairest of them all” and, upon learning that Snow White is considered fairer, she immediately orders her execution. That decision certainly lives up to the evil queen moniker. The villain of “Bambi” is Man. They are hunters searching for game. That’s not inherently evil. Their actions of not putting out their fire and that fire burning down the forest is certainly villainous, even if the fire is accidental. Still, the Evil Queen is a better villain. Point to “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

3. SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

Both of these films are filled with amazing supporting characters. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” has the seven dwarfs along with Prince Charming. Meanwhile, “Bambi” has Friend Owl, Thumper, Flower and all of Bambi’s friends. This is a tough pick, but I like the dwarfs a little better than I like the woodland creatures. Point to “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

4. MUSIC

Both of these films have amazing scores that drive the plots. They are exciting when they need to be exciting. They are suspenseful when they need to be suspenseful. The scores of both of these films are perfect. The only major difference is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” has two more memorable songs. “Someday My Prince Will Come” and “Heigh-Ho” are two songs that are still known to this day. “Bambi” doesn’t have that. Point to “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

5. MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Now, it’s time for the most subjective of these categories, the memorable moments. To me, the most memorable moments of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” are “Someday My Prince Will Come,” “Heigh-Ho,” the dwarfs getting clean, the poison apple, the dwarfs chasing the Evil Queen and the prince kissing Snow White to wake her up. In contrast, the most memorable moments in “Bambi” to me are Bambi being born, Bambi meeting his friends, the first escape from the hunter, Bambi’s mom dying, getting twitterpated and the fire. Both are memorable, but “Snow White” is a little more memorable. Point to “Snow White.”

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” win this battle. I was actually expecting this one to be closer. But I want to know which of these films do you prefer?
