Could Kingpin & Daredevil Appear In Marvel’s “Echo” Disney+ Series?
During last year’s Disney+ Day, Marvel Studios officially announced it was creating a brand new series for Disney+ called “Echo”.
Very little is known about the series, other than it will star Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, who was introduced in Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” Disney+ series.
Given the comic book history of Maya Lopez, who eventually becomes known as Echo. Where she was the adopted daughter of The Kingpin and had a relationship with Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, many fans have been expecting these two characters also to make appearances in the “Echo” Disney+ series. Especially since we’ve already seen Matt Murdock return to our screens in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, and the Kingpin was the main villain in the “Hawkeye” Disney+ series.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Ken Kristensen and Dara Resnik had joined the show writing team on the new series. What was interesting about these writers joining the show, was that these two writers have previously worked on the Netflix Marvel series. Ken Kristensen wrote three episodes of “The Punisher”, and Dara Resnik wrote two episodes of the “Daredevil” series.
And now it looks like its even more likely that The Kingpin and Daredevil are going to make an appearance in the forthcoming “Echo” series, as according to costume designer Stacy Caballero’s resume, she is working on costumes for Echo, Kingpin and Daredevil, as she lists the three actors, Alaqua Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox.
Stacy Caballero has previously worked on several other Marvel projects, including the upcoming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” film, in addition to “Thor: Ragnarok”. Plus, she has worked on “West Side Story”, “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and much more.
Disney hasn’t officially announced that Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox will be starring in the “Echo” series. But considering one of the final scenes of “Hawkeye” Disney+ series features Kingpin and Maya.
And with Disney recently adding the “Defenders” saga series onto Disney+, the evidence continues to indicate that these characters will become a more significant part of the MCU.
