Class of 09 | Episode 1 Hulu Review
Artificial intelligence is taking over the US Justice system and the “Class of 09” is trying to evolve with the immense changes going through the system. This drama series follows the FBI agents during three points in time. The timelines intertwine to take a closer look at humanity, justice and the choices of other people.
The first episode focuses mostly on the classes orientation, missions once they have become full fledged agents and a future attack using artificial intelligence that sets up to frame one class member who is now the leader of the FBI. It’s a nice past, present and future timeline story that appears to show the growth of the agents and how they are thrust into action time after time.
This series is very similar to one that was on ABC a few years ago called “Quantico,” however this one seems to be telling stories more grounded in reality rather than a soap opera style, at least through the first episode. This is listed as a miniseries, so it’s doubtful that it will take some of the wilder leaps in logic “Quantico” took during its short run.
I’m intrigued to see how artificial intelligence is changing the way the agents must perform their duties and how it could be setting them up for being framed. It’s a timely issue in 2023, and I want to see how they tackle it.
