Earlier this year, it was reported that Disney would be making a new Hocus Pocus sequel for Disney+ and that Adam Shankman (Hairspray) would be directing the film, with Workaholics co-writer Jen D’Angelo writing the script.

Now the Disinsider, is reporting that the original Hocus Pocus stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimi are all in talks to reprise their roles.  With them all taking part in Zoom meetings to discuss their return to play the Sanderson sisters.

It’s currently unknown if any of the other original cast will be returning for the Disney+ sequel.

Production on the sequel is due to begin next year in Los Angeles and Massachusetts.

The original Hocus Pocus movie is available to stream now on Disney+ and tells the story of three sister witches who are accidentally resurrected in Salem on Halloween night. It’s up to three kids and their newfound feline friend, to put an end to the witches’ reign of terror once and for all.

Are you looking forward to a Hocus Pocus sequel?
