Disney has released a trailer for the upcoming Searchlight Pictures film, “A Complete Unknown”, which is a brand new biopic about Bob Dylan, which has been directed by James Mangold.

Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, “A Complete Unknown” follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

The film stars Timothée Chalamet in the role of Bob Dylan and it also stars Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Norbert Leo Butz, Dan Fogler, and Scoot McNairy.

“A Complete Unknown” is coming to cinemas in the United States on Christmas Day and it will be released in other countries including the UK a few weeks later on January 17th 2025. Once the film has finished its theatrical exclusive window, it will be released on Hulu and Disney+ later in 2025.
