Best New Shows Coming To Disney+ & Hulu In October 2024
This coming October, Disney is releasing a number of original new shows on Hulu and Disney+, many of which are perfect for Halloween season, including the latest Marvel Studios show plus new ABC and FX shows.
Here’s the rundown:

Agatha All Along
Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless after breaking out of her containment in Westview, New Jersey and she looks to some unlikely allies to join her on her quest to regain her former powers.
A new episode is going to be released on Disney+ every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place
“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.
The first eight episodes arrive on Disney+ Wednesday, 30th October 2024
Rivals
Set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England, “Rivals” delves headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986.
This brand new British series arrives on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally on October 18th 2024.
FX’s American Horror Stories
American Horror Stories is an anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode. The spooky collection of new American Horror Stories episodes features an all-star cast, including Michael Imperioli, Henry Winkler, Dyllón Burnside, Debby Ryan, Jeff Hiller, Jessica Barden, Angel Bismark Curiel, Guy Burnet, Victor Garber, June Squibb and more!
All five episodes are released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally in the US and Canada on Tuesday, 15th October 2024
La Máquina
After a devastating loss, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna (Gael García Bernal) is at a low point in his boxing career. Lucky for him, his manager and best friend Andy Lujan (Diego Luna) is determined to get him back on top. But when a nefarious organization rears its head, the stakes of this rematch become life or death. While struggling to mount a comeback, Esteban must also juggle his own personal demons and protect his family, including his ex-wife Irasema (Eiza González), a journalist who finds herself on a collision course with the dark side of the boxing world.
This new original series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally on October 9th 2024.
Grotesquerie
In FX’s “Grotesquerie,” a series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. “Detective Lois Tryon” feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of “Sister Megan,” a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.

Only Murders In The Building – Season 4
In season four of “Only Murders in the Building”, our amateur podcasting trio wrestles with the shocking events at the end of season three surrounding Charles’ stunt double & friend Sazz Pataki. Questioning whether she or Charles was the intended victim, their investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast. As Charles, Oliver & Mabel race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.

English Teacher
FX’s English Teacher stars Brian Jordan Alvarez as “Evan Marquez,” a high school teacher in Austin, Texas who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school. Evan wants to be a principled person but often runs into trouble because of it.
The last two episodes from the first season of this great comedy series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally on Tuesday’s in October.
American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez
This series charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate strands of his identity, his family, his career, his suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.
A new episode is being released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally every Wednesday.
The Last Days of the Space Age
Starring Radha Mitchell and Jesse Spencer, “The Last Days of the Space Age” is an eight-part dramedy series set in 1979 Western Australia, when Perth was at the center of the world’s headlines. A power strike threatens to plunge the region into darkness, while the city hosts the iconic Miss Universe pageant and the US space station, Skylab, crashes just beyond the city’s suburbs. Against this backdrop of international cultural and political shifts, three families in a tight-knit coastal community find their marriages, friendships and futures put to the test.
This new series is out now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally.
FX’s What We Do in the Shadows
After a very brief stint as a full-blown vampire, Guillermo is re-evaluating his life. Who is he if not a familiar who will do anything to please his Master in hopes of one day being turned into a vampire? Meanwhile, the vampires are reevaluating, too. When their former roommate reappears after a 50-year nap, they realize how little they’ve done in half a century — not one goal accomplished, not one dream pursued, not one part of the New World conquered (except for their street and part of Ashley Street).
The final season will premiere on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the US and on Disney+ in Canada on Tuesday, 22nd October 2024
