“Is This Thing On?” Teaser Trailer Released

Disney has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Searchlight Pictures movie, “Is This Thing On?”, which is inspired by the life of British comedian, John Bishop.

The film tells the story of what happens as their marriage quietly unravels, Alex faces middle age and an impending divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess confronts the sacrifices she made for their family—forcing them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and whether love can take a new form.

“Is This Thing On?” is directed by Bradley Cooper, who is also a co-writter and producer on the film. Other screenwriters include Will Arnett and Mark Chappell. It has been produced by Bradley Cooper, Weston Middleton, Will Arnett, and Kris Thykier.

The film stars Will Arnett, Laura Dern, Andra Day, Bradley Cooper, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, and Scott Icenogle.

“Is This Thing On?” arrives in cinemas this December, which means we will likely see it available on Hulu and Disney+ at some point during 2026.
