This May, Disney+ is going to be taking part in the upcoming Cannes Film Market‘s Streamers Forum, which is an exclusive series of conferences designed to provide the latest insights on the ever-evolving streaming landscape.

Disney+ will be joined by Max (formerly HBO Max), Mubi, Pluto TV, Filmin and Cinobo.  The event will see Professionals and expert streamers from around the world will converge to exchange insights and tactics, charting the course for the future of streaming entertainment.

On May 19th Disney+ will headline with a panel at the Plage des Palmes, the Festival de Cannes and Marché du Film’s prestigious venue on the Croisette. Kévin Deysson, Director of Original Productions, will take the stage to unveil Disney’s ambitions in the French market.

Disney+ has created many original shows and films in France, including “Everything Is Fine”, “Oussekind”, and “Weekend Family”.   Disney+ is also under more pressure than ever, with price rises, more competition, local laws, reduced originals, and the inclusion of advertising, so it will be interesting to see how Disney plans to combat this.

Also speaking at the event, Oliver Jollet, Executive Vice President and International General Manager at Pluto TV, will discuss FAST services, and Warner Brother Discovery’s President of Western Europe and Africa, Clément Schwebig, will discuss the upcoming launch of Max across Europe.

Guillaume Esmiol, Executive Director of the Marché du Film, said in a statement regarding the news:

As the streaming landscape evolves, our agenda for Streamers Forum will explore the different models and strategies in content creation, acquisition and distribution for streamers, including the balance between traditional distribution and direct streaming. We take pride in being a high-level forum for these crucial dialogues at the heart of the Marché du Film.
