This May, Warner Brothers Discovery is releasing the next instalment in the “Mad Max” franchise, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”.

The new movie tells the story of what happened when as the world fell, a young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

This stand-alone movie stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, along with Alyla Browne and Tom Burke. It has been directed by George Miller.

Will “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” Be Released On Disney+?

Unfortunately for Disney+ subscribers, since “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is created by Warner Brothers Discovery, it won’t be available on Disney+, as once the film has finished its theatrical run and digital release, it will be heading to Max.

However, in the United States, due to a long standing agreement between Disney and Warner Brothers Discovery, some Warner Brothers films are available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, so in theory, in a few years time, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” could be made available, should the deal still be in place. Also later this year, Max will be available in a bundle with Disney+ and Hulu.

Internationally, things are much simpler since Disney doesn’t tend to license Warner Brother Discovery films for Disney+.
