This week has seen one of the biggest reshuffles to the trending chart in a while, first off, Disney looks to have extended how many titles are appearing on the trending tab, adding 5 more spots. Turning the trending chart into the Top 30!
The sad passing of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman has resulted in many fans of his watching the Marvel movies featuring him, including Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame and Black Panther.
Cinderella was added to Disney+ in the US earlier in the week and has shot straight into second place, while Mulan was also able to make it into the top 3, even with it being part of the new Disney+ Premier Access program, which requires people to pay an additional fee to watch it 3 months early.
Disney doesn’t provide actual viewing numbers for Disney+, so this chart is based off the Trending section on my Disney+ app on Sunday morning. Numbers within brackets indicate last weeks spot on the trending chart.
What have you been watching on Disney+ this week?
I'm very curious to see why The Simpsons continue to be #1 in Trending on Disney+ for 4 weeks straights? I can't think of one time where The Simpsons weren't number 1 on Disney+ for 2-3 weeks, cause usually another series or movie is number #1 in the Trending spot on Disney+ until The Simpsons reclaim #1 for another 3+ weeks.
If ONLY the episode "Stark Raving Dad" was put back in circulation.
