It’s the start of a brand new week, and time to take a look a look at what’s coming to Disney+ in Canada this week. There’s plenty of new content to look forward to this week, including a new documentary and new episodes of multiple original series such as “The Patient” and much more.

The Patient – New Episode

Therapist, Alan Strauss, is held prisoner by a patient, Sam Fortner, who reveals himself to be a serial killer. Sam has an unusual therapeutic demand for Alan: curb his homicidal urges. In order to survive, Alan must unwind Sam’s disturbed mind and stop him from killing again but Sam refuses to address critical topics, like his mother Candace. Alone in captivity, Alan excavates his own past through memories of his old therapist, Charlie, and grapples with waves of his own repressed troubles — the recent death of his wife, Beth, and the painful estrangement from his religious son, Ezra. Over the course of his imprisonment, Alan uncovers not only how deep Sam’s compulsion runs, but also how much work he has to do to repair the rift in his own family.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Season 3 – Episode 8 – Finale

The Wildcats head to Camp Shallow Lake, a California sleepaway camp, where they and their fellow campers are primed for an unforgettable summer ripe with romance, curfew-less nights and a taste of the great outdoors. With a high-stakes production of “Frozen” on the horizon AND a drama-filled “docu-series” of the production, the Wildcats will attempt to show who is “best in snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold.


Short Circuit – Episode 206 “Reflect”

A ballet dancer battles her own reflection, overcoming doubt and fear by channeling her inner strength, grace and power.Directed by Hillary Bradfield


Fearless – New Episode

A raw, emotional insight into the dreams, struggles and triumphs of the groundbreaking AFLW league. In this six-part series, we find out about the courageous pioneers, told they could never play Australian Rules football at the highest level, who made it happen. Following four clubs in the competition, this unrivalled access to the inner sanctum is both confronting and inspiring, as we watch this diverse group of athletes build an enduring legacy.


First Alaskans (S1)

Indigenous Alaskans live on ancient lands but face a new climate of challenges.


Dr. K’s Exotic Animal Er (S8)

Dr Susan Kelleher takes in a variety of beautiful exotic animals that are in need of help and gives them the treatment they need.



The Bear – Episode 8

Things get out of control. Carmy is faced with a decision.


Maggie – New Episodes

A young woman tries to cope with life while coming to terms with her abilities as a psychic. She can see everyone’s futures, but her present is a mess.


Motherland: Fort Salem (S3, New Episode)

Set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution by cutting a deal with the government to fight for the country, Motherland: Fort Salem follows three young women from training to deployment, as they fight terrorist threats with supernatural tactics.



Reservation Dogs (S2, New Episode)

“Reservation Dogs” is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California. To succeed, they will have to save enough money, outmaneuver the meth heads at the junkyard on the edge of town and survive a turf war against a much tougher rival gang. Filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the series is a breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television both in front of and behind the camera. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences – and invites audiences into a surprisingly familiar and funny world.

The story of a young woman’s obsession with a man who is good at being charming.


American Horror Stories (S2, New Episode)

A club girl’s life is turned upside down when the nightlife begins following her home.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – Episode 5

Jennifer Walters has a complicated life as a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.



Mike – 2 New Episodes

Tyson examines the complicated events that led up to his fight with Evander Holyfield and the ‘bite heard round the world.’


Friday 16th September 2022


Mija

The documentary features Doris Muñoz and Jacks Haupt, two daughters of immigrants from Mexico who are both navigating their careers in the music industry. Seeking to provide for their families while achieving their dreams, Doris and Jacks bond over the ever-present guilt of being the first American-born members of their families and the financial risks of pursuing their dreams. For them, the pressure of success is heightened because it is their family’s hope for green cards and family reunification.


Leave No Trace

After Will and Tom’s life in the woods gets uprooted, the father-daughter duo try to adapt to the rules of civilisation. While Tom learns new skills, Will’s fears slowly begin engulfing him.


Pride: To Be Seen – A Soul of a Nation Presentation

Documenting the LGBTQ experience and examining what it means to be seen as a member of the community; Cara Delevingne hosts.


Best in Dough (S1, Premiere)

Follows pizza competitors from all walks of life to showcase their pizza slinging skills and battle it out for $10,000.


Coco (Sing-Along)

Miguel pursues his love for singing in spite of his family’s ban on music. He stumbles into the Land of the Dead, where he learns about his great-great-grandfather who was a legendary singer.
