In December, Disney+ subscribers in the United States will have plenty of new original content to enjoy, including new episodes of the latest Star Wars series, more “What If?” plus a new Pixar series and lots of new additions from Hulu.

Monday, 2nd December 2024

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – 2 New Episodes – 6pm PT / 9pm PT

“Skeleton Crew” follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.

The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular

Hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, ‘‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular’’ returns for its ninth year with a sparkling spectacle of new musical performances from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko’Olina, Hawaiʻi. Narrated by Kristen Bell, who will share the tale of how the Disney Parks kicks off the most magical holiday ever.

• “A Snow Day For Aunt May” – Team Spidey wants to give Aunt May a snow day for Christmas, but first must help Santa Claus.
• “Hanukkah Heist” – The Thing and Spidey help Aunt Petunia rescue her stolen latkes on Hanukkah.

CMA Country Christmas

Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, the 15th annual “CMA Country Christmas” will feature one-of-a-kind musical performances of festive classics from country music’s biggest stars.

Light Shop – 4 New Episodes – Hulu

An adaptation of Kangfull’s hit webtoon of the same name, “Light Shop” follows six strangers, each grappling with a traumatic event from their past. As they go about their daily lives, they slowly come to realize that something is very wrong they just can’t figure out what. Desperate for answers and searching for a way back to normalcy, the strangers are drawn to a mysterious light shop at the end of a foreboding alleyway, which holds the key to their past, present and future. Full of mystery and intrigue, “Light Shop” promises to take viewers on an emotional adventure through its unique.

Paris Has Fallen – Hulu

When a terrorist group led by the villainous Jacob Pearce attacks a high- profile event, with the French Minister of Defense as their target, protection officer Vincent Taleb finds himself working with street-smart MI6 operative Zara Taylor to save the day. But when events take a dark turn, Vincent and Zara soon realize that the plan extends beyond just one politician. When they suspect that one of their colleagues in the security services is feeding information to Jacob, Vincent and Zara find themselves needing to rely only on each other. ESPN, Disney, The Simpsons, and the National Football League will premiere The Simpsons Funday Football on Monday, December 9, an animated Monday Night Football game transformed in real-time into the iconic Simpsons world using Sony’s Beyond Sports Technology. Atoms Stadium in Springfield will host the fully immersive fan viewing experience featuring the Cincinnati Bengals at the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Monday Night Football game that evening.

Dunk The Halls

Disney, ESPN and the NBA are teaming up to present Dunk the Halls – the first real-time animated NBA game – on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at 12 p.m. EST when the New York Knicks led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns host the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul. Dunk the Halls will be presented on ESPN2, Disney+ and ESPN+. The special alt-cast marks the first animated presentation of an NBA game and the first NBA game to stream on Disney+.

Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade

Disney’s annual Christmas Day celebration returns beginning at 11:00 a.m. EST with its traditional parade, endearing stories, and magical celebrity performances from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. The holiday special is executive produced by Disney Yellow Shoes Studio along with EverWonder Studio and Film 45.
