On Sunday evening, the second night of the 75th Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place at the Peacock Theater at Los Angeles, which saw Disney picking up lots of new awards.

The ceremony awarded many talented artists and craftspeople in categories including animation, documentary/nonfiction, game shows, reality and variety series.

An edited presentation of the awards presented on both nights of the Creative Arts Emmys will air on Saturday, 13th January 2024, at 8:00 PM EST/PST on FXX and be available for streaming on Hulu on Sunday, 14th January 2024.

FX’s “Welcome To Wrexham” picked up five Emmy awards, including:

  • Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program
  • Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program
  • Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program
  • Outstanding Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program
  • Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Reality Program (Single or Multicam)

Disney was able to get two winners for Outstanding Individual Achievement in the Animation category, with the “Star Wars: Visions”  “Screecher’s Reach” and an episode of “The Simpsons” called “Lisa the Boy Scout;” both winning the award.

National Geographic’s ” The Territory” won an Emmy for Outstanding Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking

While the Onyx Collective’s “The 1619 Project ” picked up the Emmy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series

“Dancing With The Stars” won three Emmy’s including:

  • Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Series
  • Outstanding Choreography for Variety or Reality Programming
  • Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Series

The Disney+ Original concert special, “Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium,” also won two awards, Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special and  Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special.

ABC also picked up two awards for its original special, “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration”, which won Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming and Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program awards.
