It’s the start of a brand new month, and that means that, unfortunately, due to some contracts made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, some titles are removed from Disney+ in the United States for a temporary period.

Once again, the classic family film, “The Sandlot”, has been removed from Disney+, along with its sequel, “The Sandlot 2”. These films will be available on Starz from November 18th 2022.

For some bizarre contractual reason, “The Sandlot” has been added and removed from Disney+ in the United States on multiple occasions since the platform launched in 2019.

The film tells the story of what happens during a summer of friendship and adventure, where one boy becomes a part of the gang, nine boys become a team, and their leader becomes a legend by confronting the terrifying mystery beyond the right field wall.

Unlike other streaming services like Netflix or Hulu, Disney+ doesn’t inform subscribers in advance of upcoming removals.

Both “The Sandlot” films will eventually return to Disney+. However, no date has yet been confirmed. The films are still available on Disney+ outside of the United States.
