One of this year’s most anticipated Disney+ Original series is “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi”, which is expected to arrive on Disney+ in May.

This new series is set 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned into evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.  This new series will also mark the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.

According to Bespin Bulletin, “Hitman” actor Rupert Friend is going to be appearing in the upcoming Disney+ series and that he will be playing the Grand Inquisitor.

Not much is known about the Empire’s Grand Inquisitor. A Pau’an male, he was tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down any surviving Jedi Knights. The Inquistor was an intimidating figure, dressed in all black and wielding a red, double-bladed lightsaber. After several encounters with Kanan Jarrus and his Padawan Ezra Bridger, the Inquisitor died in a lightsaber duel with Kanan – but warned the rogue Jedi that his victory had unleashed something terrible.

The Grand Inquisitor, has previously starred in the “Star Wars: Rebels” animated series, where Jason Isaacs provides the voice for the character.

Bringing in the Grand Inquisitor to track down the last of the Jedi, would provide Obi-Wan Kenobi with a suitable opponent.

What do you think of the Grand Inquistor appearing in “Obi-Wan Kenobi”?
