“The Fosters” Isn’t Coming To Disney+ Or Hulu As It’s Heading To Amazon Prime Instead
Recently it was revealed that the popular Freeform series, “The Fosters”, would be leaving Netflix at the start of July. It had been assumed that the series would be heading to either Disney+ or Hulu.
However, in a surprise move, the show is actually now moving to Amazon Prime in the United States. With all five seasons of “The Fosters” will be available on Amazon Prime from July 6th.
The show focuses on Stef Foster and her life partner, Lena Adams, go through several ups and downs while struggling to raise their children in San Diego. The series consists of 104 episodes across 5 seasons from 2013 until 2018. It’s been available on Netflix for a few years, but originally debuted on ABC Family, before the channel was renamed Freeform.
Unfortunately, it once again looks like an “existing” contract is stopping content flowing onto Disney+ or Hulu. The show debuted in 2013 and its final episode aired in 2018, so it’s possible that Disney made the deal before their current streaming strategy. Another possiblity is that this is a last-minute deal to secure extra funds during the Coronavirus situation.
Hopefully, once it leaves Amazon, it will be heading to Hulu or Disney+, but it’s going to be longer than we had hoped.
Will you be watching “The Fosters” on Amazon Prime?
I don't have the money for Amazon Prime that's why I wish it was?
I really think The Fosters should be on Disney Plus. Not everyone has amazon prime and I really don’t is fair for the people who doesn’t have that. It costs money to get Amazon Prime but Disney Plus is free please rethink about this thank you. I really appreciate it
I don't see anything else on the internet about this so I won't believe it until I see it. The Fosters is owned by Disney so this makes no sense. It makes no difference to me because I have all streaming networks.
It on Hulu guys ? lol
The Fosters is on both Amazon Prime and Hulu over here in the US so at least its on Hulu for now and hopefully someday it will show up on Disney+.
