“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” Has “Very Little” Left To Film
With the Coronavirus causing filming around the world to be shut down, it resulted in the Marvel Studios Disney+ series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on hold, as the team had to fly back home to the US when the Czech Republic went into shutdown.
The new Disney+ series is currently scheduled to be released in August, however there is still some filming to do. However this past week, Falcon actor, Anthony Mackie appeared on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and confirmed:
“I’m happy to say we are not cancelled. We are on hold. We’re going back hopefully sometime soon and finish it up, we have very little stuff to do. I’m very happy with it. We have a little more to go back to do. But everybody rest assured, it will come out.”
This is obviously good news for Marvel fans and hopefully with filming now allowed to go ahead with strict health procedures, this show can get the final bits filmed and it will be heading to Disney+ soon.
The series is set just after the events of Avengers: Endgame, with the Falcon being handed Captain America’s shield and will be picking up on some of the plots from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War.
